After standardized testing (don't get me started on that) to keep students engaged you might want to consider an exit or capstone project. 

Use the information on this page to design your own exit project which can be done for all grade levels. Please include your students input. 

I am a big fan of Genius Hour or 20% Time which can be expanded after testing.  Imagine an exit project designed by your students that follows their passion and desire for learning more about what they like.
