Teacher Notes
On the first day of school have your students write down their
learning objectives for the year. Save them (online or on
paper). Periodically during the year (I suggest holiday times)
have them review them. See:

I had my students fill
out interest surveys so I was able to find out about their
passions and skills (art, music, dance, technology,
athletics...) You might do a "Who am I?" assignment.
Start building community
in the classroom by having your students with your assistance
develop classroom expectations.
