Teacher Notes
When I taught I frequently brought in guest speakers
such as lawyers (Lawyers in the Classroom Program), authors, an
architect, community leaders and business people. I also took my
classes on field trips to explore historic community sites,
museums, businesses and the courts. I was also a part of a
unique Health Careers Program.
Where I currently live in Florida they won't even allow me to
come in to the classroom as a guest author to have me show them
that I use the same writing process that they use to write
reports. They also do not take students out on field
trips.
