I love Blended PLN experiences.  It is wonderful to connect to members of my PLN (Personal Learning Network) online but it is even more special to actually meet them face to face.  You get to know these outstanding educators through tweets, email and on Facebook.  The icing on the cake is to actually meet and talk with them. 

The TweetUp the night before the edcamp is a great way to interact before the great day of learning, sharing and connecting.

I enjoy attending edcamps even though it is expensive for Gail and me.  We enjoy traveling and getting to new places or exploring others we have not been to in a while.  We would love to go to all of them but since we do not get any of our expenses paid for it is definitely a financial consideration. 

 Ed Camp Birmingham was great!  Unfortunately the hardships caused by the devastation of the tornadoes did put a little damper on the gathering.  We were glad we were able to contribute a little to the relief efforts and our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the storms.

I want to thank all the organizers and participants in #edcampBirmingham for making my wife and I so welcome.  We thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and learning along with all of you.
